Capitals Sweep Arrows to Take NBL Top Spot

With two victories on Sunday, the London Capitals (19-2) now have a half-game lead over the London Mets (21-3) in the NBL standings. Game 1 was a clean team effort with seven Caps scoring runs and only a single error on defense. London marched to a 6-inning mercy rule win with Johan Villanueva getting the win after 3 innings of work and Bobby Anderson cleaning up the next 3 innings, giving up just a single hit.

Game 2 was another invocation of the 10-run rule in 6 innings, thanks to a 5-run rally in the bottom of the 6th. Leo Cedeño led the Caps with 3 RBI on 2 doubles, and Ian Deering launched a solo home run to deep right center at Finsbury Park. Masa Hashiguchi secured the win with a complete game performance with 5 Ks on just 69 pitches.
