Youth
Anyone aged 5 to 15. Saturdays at Finsbury Park, April to July.
Beginner
You’ll start with Baseball4Beginners on Friday evenings.
Adult competitive
Come to spring training and we’ll find you a team.
The British Baseball Federation’s own registration is the only other cost. There are no match fees on top.
What happens after you register
Fill in the form
Choose youth, beginner or adult competitive. It takes a few minutes and signs you up to the club on Spond.
Come along
We’ll contact you with the next open session, B4B date or spring training session. Just turn up in trainers.
Get placed
Coaches put you with the right group or team for how you play. Nobody expects you to work that out on your own.

You don’t need anything for your first sessions. Bats, helmets and catching gear are the club’s.
- First sessions: trainers, water, clothes for the weather
- A glove if you have one. Coaches can advise before you buy
- Once you’re on a team: baseball pants, belt, socks and a club cap
- Game jerseys are ordered through your team manager
Questions people ask
Do I need to have played before?
No. Adults who are new to the game start with Baseball4Beginners on Friday evenings, and children are placed by ability, so beginners are with other beginners.
Do I need my own kit?
Not to start. Bats, balls, helmets and catching gear are provided. Bring trainers, water and clothes for the weather, and a glove if you have one. If you stay, the kit you’ll need is further up this page.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. We run open sessions through the year. Register on Spond and we’ll be in touch with the next date.
What is Spond?
The app the club uses to run teams: sessions, availability and messages all go through it. You’ll need it on your phone once you’ve registered. The British Baseball Federation uses it too.
How do adult league fees get paid?
Players rostered to a league team pay by GoCardless in three instalments: the first when rosters are announced in March, then early June and late July. Other programmes are paid through their event page.
What is the BBF registration fee?
Everyone who plays, coaches or umpires registers individually with the British Baseball Federation. It’s paid to the federation, not the club, and funds insurance, safeguarding and umpire training.
What if the fees are a stretch?
The club runs a Sports Access Fund. Once you’ve been placed on a team, email treasurer@londonmets.org and a panel of three board members will look at it in confidence.
How do I get a game jersey?
Game jerseys are ordered through your team manager once you’re on a roster, not through the shop.
