2025 Youth Winter Training Mets

Our 2025 winter training is now completed.

This event is for the 2025 Youth Baseball Winter Training, open to Mets club members and non-members for boys and girls 5 to 15 yrs old. Due to high numbers, we are accepting registrations or trials for the 9+ age group on a case-by-case basis.

Experienced players and beginners, both boys and girls, are always welcome at our Mets sessions. Our sessions (18-21hr of training for 9+ older group and 9hr for 8U) will focus on fundamental skill development, athletic training, and friendly, fun competitions. Our coaches are experienced players and coaches, certified and DBS checked. T-ball (8U) sessions will take place entirely indoors in the sports hall while other groups will start on the pitch for warm-ups and throwing before splitting into upper and lower groups. At our session at Highgate school, players will start with hitting at 1pm in the cricket net mezzanine before moving into the gym and then to finish outdoors.

Players should arrive 10 minutes ahead of the start times in order to start on time. Haverstock is accessible via public transport from the Chalk Farm tube stop across the street while Highgate school (Mallinson sports centre) is accessible via the 210 bus (stop N, Athlone House) from Archway. The 108 has very easy access from the new Brent Cross West Thames Link overland station.

We advise players to wear layers and bring a rain jacket but please do check weather conditions on the day of training. Players should also bring a snack and a water bottle, baseball caps, trainers. Plastic cleats or turf shoes are optional for outside. Please label personal items like bottles and clothing.
