FAQ & Disclaimer

What if it rains?

This Year's Winter training is indoors, however it can be a bit cold within the training dome. We advise wearing long joggers or baseball pants, and a thermal shirt or hoodie.

What should I bring?

We expect all players to bring their gloves to defensive training sessions. If you do not have one, please consider purchasing one. For batting practice, we will have club bats, however we also recommend using the bat you will be playing with during the season (if you have one).

How much does it cost?

This year we have divided our winter training programme into two separate options, defence & hitting. Players who wish to only participate in one of the two training sessions can pay £100 to commit to either mid-week hitting or weekend defence, unfortunately we cannot offer a mixture of both. If players want to register for both hitting & defence we have offered a combined fee of £160. If you cannot pay through PayPal, please contact Commissioner@LondonMets.org to discuss other options.

Why can't I select both batting sessions?

To keep availability open, and maintain a safe environment, the batting sessions are limited in number. We want to ensure everyone has an opportunity to have batting sessions.

What if cannot attend a session?

We regrettably cannot offer refunds for missed sessions. If you sign-up and cannot attend Winter Training at all, please contact Commissioner@LondonMets.org to discuss potential arrangements on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: While we aim to welcome as many players as safely possible, registration does not guarantee placement in the session. If the winter training is over-subscribed, priority will be given to members of the London Mets Baseball Club in good standing, followed by past players of FNB/Mets, Fall Ball, followed by members of the general public on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Club reserves the right to decline placement in a session for players that coaches feel are not at the necessary skill level to participate safely.
